I have gone over a few thoughts about the next pc im building, and looking at the specs, I dont think I'll ever really use sli..... i might put in a second card at some point but only if i go dual monitors..... so no need for sli in that...... So...... anyone able to suggest some good ol regular 775 boards?

also, i would be overclocking the chip btw.........

my favorit company is ASUS. They have some great mobo's there, but they r on CrosssFire. I know u want a mobo where you can yake advantage of the full power of the PCIe 2.0, so I would wait untill February when NVidia is going to come out with the 9000 series and with the new cipset 780i. End then make a decision. Its only 2 months. Ans u'll be able to use your ONE card to the max.

I wouldn't worry about PCI-E 2.0, you can use original PCI-E cards in 2.0 slots and 2.0 cards in 1.1 slots. The only chipset that supports it now is X38, which if you don't need crossfire isn't worth the premium over P35. The 780i chipset will probably be a good deal more expensive then a P35 board also. A good regular 775 board would be an Asus P5K, GigaByte P35-DS3R or an Abit IP35, or any higher spec versions of these, like Asus P5K-E, Abit IP35-Pro or GigaByte P35-DS4.
