    Acer Revo 3600:
    single core processor
    2GIG RAM
    vista

    or

    Acer Revo 3610:
    Duel core processor
    2Gig RAM
    Win7

I'm only after it to play both XBMC live via a SD boot... Playing both .AVI and .MKV

Will the difference in processor really make a difference? And will it make a difference to power consumption?

Depends what the difference in the price is. If it's small, then opt for the Dual Core, without a second thought.

As for power consumption, it depends on what exact processors you are talking about. But probably a neglegable difference.

For £25 and extra storage space, it's a no brainer really. Pay the extra.

2gb is more than adequate for your requirements.

Vista and Win7 will be crappy on a single core (in comparison to a dual/multi-core, that is).. these are multi-core optimized Operating systems. I suggest going dual core with 2GB of RAM.
