This mod was in MaxPC some years back each machine runs 2 displays and a flight sim hack/utility allows multiple aspect views (top - right front - left rear etc.) I remember the commentary about the software required more than the rigs required. but the boxes were nothing special and in fact low end except for his main box. Made "Rig of the Month" much to my disapointment... Not long after I cancelled my script.... Long live BOOT! I miss a real PC/computer mag they all stink anymore guess were just commodities now.... just fetch a bunch of PCI cards I think XP supports 24 monitors! (like a jumbotron windows desktop) (& if not more) think 2k does 4 or 8 I cant remember off-hand Nothin better than quake in 3 displays (back in the day)

i was running 6 monitors a while ago. (2x19" 4x17"). I got it working using 3 GFX cards. (x700, 9200 and 9250 (last two are PCI)). I got picture on all of them, but if i had windows on more than 3 of them the system would lock up. using 3 monitors was ok, but if a dragged a window to monitor 4,5 or 6 everything just froze. Didn't bother to figure it out. I don't need more then 2 monitors anyway (currently running 2x19" and a 15") i have 6 17" monitors sitting here collecting dust. (all LCD's ofcourse )
