That is good... I am afraid that if we talk about this we are violating the rules of the forum... don't want to speak for the moderator but that is the facts of the forum... now back to sketchup

    My Contribution

You all rule! Nice job across the board on these components.

In fact, it seemed only fair that I should create something for the pile, if I'm going to be mooching all these great models from you all. So, I made up a model of a Panasonic UJDA150L Slimline CD-ROM drive. The dimensions appear to be standard for slimline drives, with only the faceplate varying much between them, depending on what the drive got pulled from.

Is someone willing to host the .skp file for me?

Edit: Oh, I used imperial measurements, as my calipers didn't have metric.

Looks like a good job
I happy to host, mail me via the forums (click on my username over there <--), and I'll give you an address to send it to.
Imperial measurements aren't a problem, you can just convert it with the program.

i think that someone shuld take all the Sketchup Components Collection
and make a 1 pack from it, it take a very long time to download them one by one.

I might do that actually. Might be better in individual categories though. I'll give it a go.

I've downloaded what files aren't dead links.

my58vw, I like the USB card could you sort the link so I can download it?

Wasabi, If you E-mail me at ouija2k(at)blueyonder(dot)co(dot)uk with the .skp file I will host it for you.

As long as nobody has any objections (and I can asume they don't since they are posting the files here), I'll add the files to my website and have it up in a few days as well as an option to download the lot.

My webhost does not seem to like sketchup files. I will try and get you the file and get a good link up...

The problem is we get pretty regular updates. But I suppose, you could just update with a new zipped file . If anybody needs any of their sketchup models hosted, contact me via any of the ways listed under my profile. I've got a bunch of free space on a reliable server.

    WHY?
all i ask for is Collection, i didn't say a zip.
u can make a HTML page with the pic and the link for the Sketchup Components.
so ppl like me won't have to search 14 pages to find them.

When you said pack, I thought you meant one file to download all the skp files.

Also, I'm looking for a sketchup model of a full tower chieftec dragon. Death_star has mid-tower, anyone want to change that to full-tower for me :D ;)

Basic dimensions are listed on Directron:

    Dimension: 18.75"(D) x 8.13"(W) x 25.63"(H) or 470 x 205 x 670mm(DxWxH) (height including the feet). Drive Bays: 6 x 5.25" external, 2 x 3.5" FDD external, 6 x 3.5" HDD internal.

What other dimensions, do you need? The most acurate thing I have for measuring is my trusy old ruler :D

    heylo,
im starting a new project soon *dual processor, ahahh yeah, alalal, what?!*
err, yeah, anyway. i have designed my own case in pro desktop.. and have saved it as a .dxf file, and i know you can import this into sketchup. however... its in plan view, and not 3 dimensional :( fair enough.. what i was expecting. but is there an easy way to change this plan view into a 3d view? thanks, and keep up the work!! this resource is awesome!
