Thats mid tower? Wow! Thats a damn big mid tower at 21.1 inches high. If I had measurments of the full tower it would be easy as pie.

 

You must have gotten the measurments for the mid-tower wrong? The full-tower case is 25.65" tall

I just got a username for this forum. I've been a long time reader, never a poster. But I have started creating a Sunbeam UV clear acrylic case. I have the front panel done and its turning out beter than I expected. Ill post up in a bit.

 

I do not own the case... I am working right now on the model and will post it in the morning...

The case demensions are from a pic so I have guessed a few of the measurements. I will post the sketchup as soon as I can get it up...

Looks pretty accurate, however the PSU bracket comes standard as a horizontally mounted PSU and a 92mm blowhole above it.

 

Yep, looks pretty acurate except for that PSU placement. Also, the power button should be on the bottom half, not top half.

 

There must be two styles of the case... I used this one Directron for the model... I guess their must be two models, I used Chieftec DA-01SLD Dragon Full... I can 't tell by this pics but the top hole is the lock and the bottom hole the Power? If you can send me a better link then I will revise, Thanks

 

I just updated the links for the USB card and the chieftec cases... click on the link to go to my modding webpage and download the skp file or click on the link in the signiture

 

Oh yea, the full tower has the power button centred on the lower section. Forgot about that.

 

No it doesn't. I have the case sitting next to me. Give me 5 minutes and ill put up a labeled diagram

edit: And I believe the PSU mounting is both ways, you can interchange it. (but I can't seem to find the vertical mounting piece to mine)

I assumed the full tower Dragon used the same layout for the button placement as the Scorpio does, obviously not then.

Here is the front piece of the Sunbeam Acrylic case I started. Should I add the 3.5" and 5.25" bay covers? When I do it the covers and the front piece become one.

 

It is up to you what you want to do... good model...

This thread is for components not for project ideas... I would send this to the project of modding forums if it is a project.

I do like the sketchup though.

Sorry for going off on a tangent, don't wanna break the forum rules.
I guess I'll have to scrape out my savings account and buy it. Definately a good proggie.
