FYI, From what I can see, pretty much everything in this thread that has a link has been hotlinked by aquapc.

Mookie's stuff, ouija's, elnosba's etc. The whole works.

Yea, I went and looked just before typing this.

    :read:

we know, see here, and here etc.
I've gone to some extent to stop them getting the files, but don't have much control over the server.

Would it be benefit to have all the sketchup files in one location?

I'd be willing to host all of them at modchives.com.

quite likely - how much control do you have over the server? If you want to start taking the files (with the author details etc) feel free. thanks!

i sont have the time to read the whole thread but i do have a question-

when you make somehting that is, for example, 16 inches long, it is TINY on the screen. how do you make it bigger without zooming in/ altering the dimensions of the line?

scoll forwards on your mouse, this will take the view closer to the line.

that is zooming, but there isn't any other way to make it bigger (unless you want to change your resolution, but i don't think that's helpful)

never mind, i couldnt figure out how to insert a 2d rectangle into my 3d case, because i did the outside, and am now adding all the other random things needed,(ducts and stuff) but it just took a while..i must say, im quite impressed at how easy sketchup is to use...basic features of course :) thanks for all the great components in here...with out them i would be lost! :)

lack of detail is fine, but we really need components to be to accurate sizes - that just doesn't look right. can you make a new model with the actual measurements? if so replace the above pic and link. :)

lack of detail is fine, but we need models to be to scale.
