that's a better reason than most give.
that's a great model, are you sure you don't want to continue with Sketchup?

Well I might make some models up in 3D Studio Max or VIZ and export them to sketchup format (Can someone tell me if thats possible) or I might have to keep using Sketchup.

Also one thing does anyone know how to change the middle mouse button from 3D Orbit to the Pan tool.

You can hold down the Ctrl Key I think, but I don't think there's a permanent change option.

[EDIT: ynema beat me to it. :worried:]

    Here's my contribution, a Shuttle SN41G2

The back panel isn't quite perfect, but I can't find a halfway decent measuring device in the whole house. It's close, but not quite. All other dimensions are correct.

This was made with Photoshop, so you can see front and back. Click for the .skp file.

Big thanks to Pjotr for making the fan and Ouija for the mesh.

    Enjoy! :D

This is my first try @ Sketchup and I think it's a pretty good try :D .
I've made my Chrystalfonts 4x20 USB LCD in sketchup.

if you start to make a case
    how do you start?
    from inside out?
    or from outside in..

I allways start from inside out.
Start with the chassis and anything attached to it, back panel CD drive mounts etc. Then make the panels or anything that affix to the case.
It is better to group certain objects together, so the inside of the case is grouped, make the panels grouped also so you can remove them easily from the case and play around with the inside to add other objects such as motherboard etc.

easy. make a circle, then another inside of it. make the inner circle whatever colour you want your ccfl to be, and for the outer, use snow, but put it to 50% transparnecy. Paint both sides, then use the push pull tool. Inside then outside.

I'm pretty sure SketchUp doesn't have any emitters, if that's what you're looking for.

Also how do you all get so good at this? Ive used HALF my trial just learning it, and im still crap. Have you all bought it? Doesnt it cost a few hundred £?

There's a Lian Li PC7 on page one. The very first post, in fact.

It's allllll practice. I don't think 8 hrs for a demo is quite fair, I would have gone with a 10-day or something, but then again, it's their software.

I'd be willing to bet that quite a few people went through extralegal methods to get it, but talking more about it would probably be against the rules here. :worried:
