@Ravimade, I have been told that the files will be back online soon(ish), and then hopefully I'll be able to help.

@Everyone, I've had a mini flurry of submissions, have a look!

    Hello,
new to the forums, just finished making a sketchup of my motherboard.
Also made a Seagate SATA hdd.

    Screenshots:

Mobo took me about 10hrs I think. Time flies when you're having fun :D.
    Has 16419 edges

Jazzle, can I pm you with a download location for the .skp so you can put them on your website?

    Roswell, they look great.
All 3.5in HDDs are essentially the same when it comes to modelling for mod-planning purposes, but I would like to see your mobo. (YGPM)
(am a little concerned about the file size though - 16k edges!)

Well, I specifically said Seagate, because it's modeled after that, most different brands and/or types have other layouts.

Filesize for the motherboard is 2.6mb, I've sent you a pm with a download location.

Another thing, can I ask some specific questions about Sketchup here or is another thread better suited for that? I'm in the progress of planning a mod in sketchup so I know exactly what pieces to get and such...

    Thanks.

But when planning a mod, a 3.5in HDD is just a box.

    Hey guys…

I have been a Gundam fan for a while now and have been working on a small project for a few months on and off. It is not finished yet but I thought you guys might enjoy seeing what I have done so far.

This is based on a GAT X-105 Strike Gundam, Prefect Grade 1/60 Scale model that I’m still going to order. The head/helmet design is just something I whipped up and may change later but I like it so far. What I have been working on are the arm section and will finish off the hand soon. It is quit detailed base on the model and I’m trying to get as close to it as possible but working with only pictures as a reference I had to add my on touch to it.

All in all I’m having a blast doing it and I hope you guys like it. Comments and advice welcome from all and the other SketchUp gurus.

im trying to get a tube that goes up like those staircases in a circular motion
kinda like the way the the mod Tvirus's tubes are bent but i want to draw them in sketchup? anyhelp?

    True :)

@ Ener, use the "follow me" tool. Although I have found that it doesn't always work on any curved line and I still haven't figured out why exactly. I'll try to take a screenshot of a failing curve and post it here, maybe someone knows an answer.

    @ Scooby: impressive work :eeek:

Edit: first Sketchup question: can you easily enlarge a certain component? Like I download a fan sketchup 120mm, can I convert that to a 140mm fan?
