@Roswell, You can enlarge any item in SU, just select the artwork (fan) and select your SCALE tool them hold down your "Ctrl" key and it will enlarge the fan uniformly. You will have to adjust the thickness back down to 25mm. I have made 140 fans already if you want.

    @Ener, like this?

    Yeah, thanks would be cool.
Thanks for the hint about the scale-tool, added it to my buttons, hadn't noticed it before.

@fev, Solidworks works almost like AutoCad so import as .dwg file.

    In SU:
    File>Export Model>Select the file you want>Choose AutoCAC DWG (*.dwg)>Export

    In Solidworks:
    File>Open>Select your file

I haven't worked with Solidworks in awhile so I hope that helps.

@Roswell, PM me if you would like the file.;)

I really haven't bothered to import anything from sketchup to solidworks in a long time. Instead i have modeled all of the components that i've needed straight in solidworks.
    My Profile On AllTheMods
There u can see some of the models... Pm me if u want some more info on solidworks component models.

the solidworks import is correct, even works with 2001

an nvidia 8800GTX model or another dual-slot GPU would be good, I'm worried about heat transfer/ airflow in the mod I'm currently designing.

Is there a way to get chrome-look?
Or any other metal looks than the standard ones for that matter?
Or just some way to make an object "shine"?

K, thanks, will look into that this weekend.

    Next question :worried:
As seen in this screenshot, the white thing in the right upper corner is a bolt, how can I make a hole in the black plate, so that it's exact the size and location of the bolthead?

Has anyone made a Thermaltake Kandalf LCS model yet?
Or a regular Kandalf/Armor with the internal structure modeled as well?

Mate, use the tape measure tool and measure it all very carefully.

Thats what I have been doing.

    I've solved it otherwise:
edit component on the panel, that way the bolt is visible trough the panel, then just creating a circle on the panel, trying to get the center of the bolt, Sketchup seems to "see" what you're trying to do and centers it exactly...

    easy if you know it

put the bolt right through the black plate.
then click on it with your right mouse button and choose "intersect with model" now you've got a circle drawn on the black surface with the exact measurements. Now you can push/pull/delete/move/... the circle.

otherwise you've got to use the measurement tool :)
