For probably the last 10 years(ish) I'd been believing that it was not possible to escape the yeti at the end of skifree, and then I see todays XKCD, and now my world has been turned up side down, I don't know what to think any more. It turns out you just had to press F to go faster... if I wasn't running Linux these days I'd give it a go, might even try it in wine. Here's video for anyone who's interested:
OMG, is it really true?! I spent ages trying to work out a way past it and all you had to do was push F... I feel cheated! Did I also see him going backwards at the end of the video? Didn't know you could do that either! Need to dig out my windows 3.11 floppies
