Hmmm, while I guess the performance might be close to a decent i7 rig it is all outdated and second hand tech.

Hmmm, well from a quick browse on Scan you could build a brand new i7 rig with that case and air cooling for a little more than what that's going for at the moment (~£1000 without cutting corners) - and you wouldn't be reliant on SLI drivers and would at least have the option of upgrading part of the computer in the future without having to completely upgrade everything.

Or change the case and you save a lot.

Yeah I looked at building a new rig from scratch - just thought there was potential with adding another CPU on this and popping in some 285s..... not sure how much it is worth outlaying. Presume you can get the UV/Liquid cooling kits as good as this somewhere?

    Go i7

I priced it up and getting an Antec 1200, Corsair modular PSU, Megalahem cooler with 2 fans, boot drive and 1Tb HDD, P6T Deluxe and i7 920 would cost £1000.25

From what I have heard, the Skulltrail isn't good for gaming because the CPUs are constantly fighting each other. Is this true?

If you are going for i7, try to wait until early next year when Intel releases the Core i9 and the newer i7s (1156 socket). At least wait until October for Windows 7 and the new DX11 cards.

I guess it goes to show that there are plenty of people that have lots of cash and absolutely no brains whatsoever. Meaning the bidders, sure it's not his fault for asking wayyyy too much. It's going at £1750 now, and that's just stupid.

No way worth it unless you have very specific needs (basically protein folding or fast fourier transforms :thumb:). I would instead buy a killer i7 rig and save some money.

    to ebay seller.

hello, i am liking your product and would like to know if it is still available so that I can make funds available. I will take it as is. Please respond back as soon as you can and I will have my secretary send you a draft. Do not bother to call me as I am deaf.

Also, I am a banking manger here in the UK and we have a customer who passed away and left a considerable sum of $150,000,000 in funds in her account. We have not been able to locate next of kin and would like to offer this money to you since you are so handsome and are totally not trying to rip people off with that computer of yours. Please send me your name and banking information as well as a $150 in funds to pay for the electronic filing fee to deposit these funds into your account. Don't try to call us here at the bank to verify because we are all deaf and won't hear the phone ring.
