News Skype for Mac OS X beta released

Mac users can now join in and see what all the Skype has been about. This from the Inq:

A BETA VERSION for the Mac OS X operating system is being released by Skype Technologies today.

Features include global directory, tracking, file transfer, mobility, encryption, multiple Skype accounts and instant messaging.

The firm said that it offers call quality and security as good as for Windows, Pocket PC and Linux.

Skype is also offering SkypeOut, its global calling service to ordinary phone numbers at local rates using pre-pay facilities. The pricing is 1.7€urocents or $0.02.
