With winter approaching us in the Northern hemisphere and Summer for those down under, Which do you prefer?
A warm room with light covers or
A cool room and bundle with the comforters?

Or like my little brother in Iowa, an open window and snow on the bed! My late Mother always hated waking him up - he taught unarmed personal defense at the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy. LOL

this is my vote. can we get a poll? however i like it nice and warm when i wake up. i have my thermostat set keep the house at about 14ºC all night, and then it goes up to 22 at 6am so that the house is warm by the time i wake up.

To sleep - cold room warm covers, and someone to keep me warm!
To wake up - warm room

Cold room, and lots of covers. Nice and warm all night, and the cold shock wakes me up quick in the morning.

I like it to be cool (not cold) of an evening for getting into bed, then reasonably warm when I wake up, to make getting out of a warm bed easier. :D

    Warm with lots of covers.

Yes, I'll wear a sweater during the summer.

A cold room and a warm bed is excellent for sleeping. However, the same situation works against you in the morning, because the bed is still more appealing than the room. When it comes time to wake up, I'd much rather have a warm room.

Cold room, maybe with the window open - I never have the heating on in my room at home, thick covers.
In the morning I still like to have a cold room but a warm bathroom. You just have to have the discipline to get out of bed, which I do sometimes lack.

    Cold room and thinish covers.

I dislike being hot, my girlfriend is the complete opposite so as you can imagine this causes problems. The main problem being her room is like a furnace and her quilt is like like having another mattress on top of you, and she herself seems to radiate heat as she goes to bed its dangerous to the touch.

I have used the excuse that my drums are next to the radiator so I can't turn it on as the changes in temperature will start to warp the shells over time, this was a valid excuse. Now my acoustic drums are packed away and I have an electric in my room which isn't even close to the radiator. Doh!

    Windows open, but radiator on.

I like snuggling in the corner next to the radiator with my duvet and mountains of pillows.

I like it on the chillier side, but I like having a blanket.

Right now the idiots that run things turned the heat too hot too early. Temperatures are in the 60s, and the heat's been on for 3 weeks! I have not been able to close my windows for over 2 hours without feeling like im going to suffocate. the official response is "well, the heat is set to a constant temperature, not fluctuating up or down, so be thankful for that"

so I'm sitting here in a t-shirt and shorts, sweating, with my window open as much as it can go.
