Cold is good, I fall asleep far faster than in a warm room, heating off and windows open Cheesecake, pain in the a** to get out of bed though.

The colder the better with mountains of blankets

i cant stand the heat (funny being im Australian :p) even in winter i have to sleep with a fan on and the window open these days i find it drives me nuts trying to sleep without the fan, i have bad tinnitus from years of playing music etc so anything to drown out the ringing = cheesecake

Nothing worse than wanting to sleep curled up with your girl but knowing she loves it silent and warm with lots of blankets as well, its damn torture!

He is at school where he can't turn the heating off/down.
Or at least, I couldn't when I was there.

I like it fairly warm now, though I used to love it cold. My alarm always gets me up in the morning because it wont stop until I get up to turn it off because i purposly keep it out of reach. Once im up I wont go back to sleep, I think its a rather smart idea on my behalf though it makes me feel bad everytime I get up.

Agreed. Nothing like waking up next to a warm body with warm covers.

Curse you all the people mentioning partners :grr:
After 10 years trying, i've completely given up on that fact :p

I'd say as long as the room isn't stupidly hot i'm fine.
But cool-ish room + warm covers Cheesecake

I have no clue, I find it very hard to get to sleep at night so I haven't really found my favourite sleeping conditions. However, I don't like being covered in a duvet, I usually end up partially or completely uncovered, I also don't like to be too cold or hot and I hate a cold room when I wake up.

I also have this strange urge when I try to sleep to cover my eyes with my arm, if I don't my eyes feel uncomfortable and I can't get to sleep.

Try sleeping in a tent....going to bed and sleeping it's like 5C and the sleeping bagS are freeeeezing, but warm up soonish.
Then in the morning the sun hits the tent and the internal temperature shoots waaaay up and you can't breathe let alone stay in the sleeping bag. Make a dive for the door and fresh air, very effective wake up procedure!

My rooms normally are kept at a 77 degrees F and 60+% humidity for medical reasons all the time. I got fed up and opened a south facing window in my bathroom about 6" and using a 6 " clamp on fan for exhaust. I put one comforter under me and either 1 or 2 over me . I turned off the heat at night and opened a north facing window above the headboard about 4 inches on the side away from where I sleep. No direct drafts. Seems to be not so claustrophobic now. I spend 20 to 24 hours a day in these 2 rooms. I use a garden timer to turn on a portable 1500 watt heater at 4 AM to pre-warm the room. Get up at 5AM daily.
    I sleep better now.

It seems the human body requires fresh air and air circulation.

Can air stagnate in a bedroom with the windows all sealed up? It appears it can.

I prefer cool with a light cover, as when you wake up and take the cover off, you aren't cold.. Don't get me wrong, I love being bundled up in my blankets, but when I wake up and get outta bed, I always get a chill because I'm not a fan of the cold, and I have 2 big heavy blankets, and 1 light one.... So yea... I'm up in Canada... I like the window open with a light breeze in summer, pair of shorts and a thin cover.

    Airflow = win.
Cool is preferable, but not so cold that i need thick blankets...
i passionately hate the heat, though... funny, considering i live where i do.

Cold room to get to sleep, with warm covers and my feet sticking out the bottom.
Warm room to coax me out of bed in the morning.

    I can, I just don't.
I have two windows this year, so They really loose all the residual heat my PC dumps into the room.
