I am aware that you cannot run, traditionally, two monitors using SLI. I know it has been done where individuals buy a separate PCI graphics card from ATI and use it to run the second monitor while they run SLI on the other one with success.

What I'd like to do, since I have 3 PCI-E slots, 2x 16, 1x 8, is use two 8600's and a 7600 I have. The 7600 to run the second monitor. I've gotten all three recognized right now however it is not allowing me to run the two 8600's in SLI mode - SLI mode no longer appears in the nVidia control panel.

I set the monitor for SLI, shut down. Installed the third card, rebooted. It found the card, I rebooted after it installed. And here I am.

    Any help/suggestions?

My thinking is that its a driver issue as you say it has been done with an ati card and the forceware drivers are not letting you
