Graphics SLi GTX285's or wait?

Hey everyone.
I was wondering is it worth getting another gtx 285 or should I just wait for fermi cards?
Been waiting for the new nvidia cards for ages and I can't wait much longer. I should be able to get a 285 for about £180 which isn't to bad.

Is it worth it or should I wait?
Any ideas are welcome

 

I would wait for the fermi cards to be released at worst the other cards will get cheaper.

 

What doesn't run on a single 285?! Or a single 275 for that matter?

Everything, with the exception of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is using Unreal3, which can apparently run fine on an ipod touch, so any more power is just a waste.

I dare say there will be no need to upgrade until the consoles are replaced.

cant see a need for another gtx 285 unless you game at super high rez, and play games like crysis and what not. even then, unless you fold, i'd grab a 5870. fermi isn't launching anytime this quarter, and most likely not until end of q3, if even...

^For anyone who does not have one or more 30" screens anything above a single GTX 285 or 5850 is a waste.

oh a mate had one but he put it on ebay now. he offered it to me 1st

 

I got a second hand GTX280 at chrimmy when it became apparent the fermi was a goose.
I've OC'd them to 750 core.

A second (used) 280 cost £100.
A HD5870 (the ONLY set up faster) was £400

No brainer.
Worst case senario is ditching them in the summer and I@d guess I'd get £100 each minimum from folders.
