SLI quad DVI

If you have a two video cards each with dual DVI ports, is it possible to export to 4 LCDs with SLI? Does nVidia handle this?

I believe I read somewhere (in the new SLI iWill case preview on this site?) that if you have two cards setup in SLI that only one of the card's ports will be active, hence only 2 DVI outputs will function.

I am trying to output to 2 LCD monitors and 1 HDTV LCD

Any thoughts?

 

Hi sheanon, welcome to the forums.

At the moment, it is not possible to run more than one monitor in SLI mode due to the way that things work in SLI. I believe that this is something that NVIDIA are set to change, but I am not sure whether this is just a software hurdle or both a software and hardware hurdle that they have to climb over. You can, however, run up to four monitors if you disable SLI mode and just use the cards independantly with NVIDIA's MultiView software.
