    Hi,

I have this card http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130372 This card only has 192 cores.

But I now can't get it anymore since I live in Sweden and the e-tailer I'm looking to buy doesn't have it.

Can I go SLI with the above card and let's say another gtx 260 woth 216 cores?

    Tahnks!

I have a feeling you can but the other card will also run at 192 cores, so effecivly you'd have 2x GTX 260's 192.

Anybody correct me if i'm wrong

Im not quite sure that it will work, unfortunately SLi isn't as flexible as crossfire where you can do a bit more of a pick and mix.

With SLi the cards need to be pretty much identical (except manufacturer e.g you can mix a XFX card with an MSI card as long as they are the same specification wise).

Hopefully someone can maybe give you the answer your looking for, but im unsure, its quite a lot of money to spend if it doesn't work, do you know anyone who you can borrow one off?

    Gaz :)

yeah looks ok, quote from website 'The best part about this new release is that its SLI compatibile with the old GTX 260 meaning a current GTX 260 user can pick it up without worries.'

Looks like your in luck :)

actually, no. the card will use all cores, but you wont see the benefit unless it is the primary card installed in cases where sli is not used.
