Hi, I currently have a Gainward GTX 460 1GB Gold Sample installed on an SLI mobo and am interested in buying MSI's fantatic GTX 460 1GB HAWK to use in SLI with the Gainward card.

I know in principal different manufacturer's versions of the same card with the same amount of memory should work and as for different clock speeds the two should defer to the speeds of the slowest card, yet the two cards have very different PCBs.

Will these two certainly work togther or would it be more sensible just to buy another Gainward? I would prefer to get MSI's card because of the fantastic cooling it offers.

btw I'm asking because I distinctly remember Tom's Hardware had trouble getting different versions of the gtx 460 to work together in a review they conducted some time ago

    Thanks
