Slow to Post

    Is it me or is submitting to the forums really slow atm? (21/06/04)

    Could be anything... load, orac :D etc... although, it's fine here.

    It could be a problem with your (bits) sql server...?

    sometimes theres quite a delay on the 'posted sucessfully, redirecting you, click here to proceed' page

    I wish i got all these problems...!

    Page loading time here for the new post redirect page is 0.05 seconds - i know you guys can't see that though. let's just put it down to the still ever present Orac traffic ;)

    Loading is quick for me, posting is slow (from hit post to the redirect screen).

    Yeh mate. When i reply it will is slow in forwarding the page. Another bug is the smilies when i click the i get .null object, hit it 3times seems to sort its self.

    I get times when the buttons dont work, a bit like lag really, takes several goes to get the bold button working for example.

    I have the same problem when submitting something. All's I do is just click the link provided and it speeds it up to allmost instant. Just seems to be an error in the page code (browsers not wanting to load a spacific object properly or some other stuff)

    It's not the confirmation page redirect that's slow. That has a built in delay so you can read the confirmation rather it's slow after I click the Submit button, i.e. sending the data.

    Yeah, that's my problem too. I thought people knew that redirect delay is intentional...

    Its a bit slow for me , I think its orac slowing up the server for me .

    Well, yeah, I know theres a redirect delay :duh: but it isn't 2-3 minutes long!

    Output compression was the spanner in the works :thumb:

    Notice the slow google ads loading has also dissapeared!
