    :D

ok i have a dual rad (bix stealth) and a tdx universal and a DDC+. just a minute ago i was deciding wether or not to go all out on aqua extream water cooling set up or stick with a 1/2"big bore equiptment.

would switching be crazy? would you get the same level's of performance?

You don't get quite the same performance, but lots of people like small bore for how easy it is to route throughout your case. Simple preference tbh. :thumb:

Larger bore size's were needed in the early days of watercooling due to inefficient block design and limited choice of pump. These days you have optimised blocks and pumps designed specifically for watercooling so they perform pretty much the same so its more down to personal prefrence than anything else.

    3/8" or 10/8mm compression barbs.

thats basically what i'd go for. my 1/2" stuff is good, but the tubing is huge!

It's simple... Big bore is for men and small bore is for ladies. j/k

I think da_rude_baboon sumed it up pretty accurately. I prefer large bore myself but I make all my own stuff and don't have fancy machinery to make to more complex blocks designed for a small bore setup. But I'm sure an optimized small bore setup would perform close to equally of a large bore setup, except maybe until under extreme conditions but I have nothing to back that up.
