Can anyone spec me some small clamps? Plenty of choice on Ebay but I would rather they lasted more than one use.

Quite like these and I use quite a bit of Silverline gear so pretty confident.

For a GPU backplate I'd be more tempted by a few sets of reverse action tweezers or similar, very easy to over tighten on something delicate with those sorts of clamp. But conversely when you really need something held they're not up to the job*

Tbh if you want good strong clamps get a set of metal G clamps thing with clamps there's a lot different types and have different uses , silverline are not very good tools tbh

You keep leaving the links out mate lol

I've had loads of ratchet type clamps over the years most brake fairly quickly so I mainly us quality steel G clamp type and mole make some good one's too not the cheap Chinese copies though make sure they are proper mole grips/clamps

If the laser guy can do the screw holes with out charging an arm and a leg it will be all academic anyway.

Though I have often wished I had a set of small clamps in my tool bag. Not for any major jobs just the odd small job that requires something kept in place for a short while.

It's always good to have a set of decent tools, I spend most of my time in the work shop the best tool I've ever built has to be the CNC
