    Hi Guys

I have a Super Plan for a computer project, and its going to be very small, about 3 times smaller than a shuttle, maybe even smaller.

So as you can expect i need the smallest motherboard going.. The dimensions mean it should be less than 15cm in one dimension, ie could be 14 x 24.

Heres the hard bit, i dont want any rubbish, i would like an AGP slot but hey thats never going to happen, this machine has to be able to atleast play a fw games, so 64mb of video ram is required wether its PCI or onboard.

For now i am ruling out Mini-ITX, it is to big, so looking for something else!

Nb: I have found the Little board by Epox but cant find anywhere to buy it.

    Regards.

Mini itx is smallest out other than the weird places. I dont know of any small small boards with an agp slot but i think some mini itx boards have pretty nice built in video than can atleast go up 2 64mb but you would need like 1 gig of ram altogether in order for it to work with only 1 ram slot and 512 would be cuttin it if you want to play good fp games. To summarize if you want to play doom 3 on best no go with small boards best you could get would be a shuttle board.

    This is small 5.75” x 8” (146.05mm x 203.2mm) enough, has up to 64MB video memory and uses a Pentium M 1.6GHz chip.
What you are looking for is called a SBC - Single Board Computer. They come in a number of form factors with different specs. They are mostly used for industrial purposes.
They smallest are less than 4" x 4" and have very slow CPUs (~486) - but they can fit anywhere

the via mini boards arent too shabby

stick 512mb ddr in there with a pci graphics card, say a raddy 9000 or equivalent and ud be able to game no probs with older titles

The previous two posters ignored me, so here's a pic of the smallest Pentium 3 1ghz board available.

I'm going to be using one for a file server.
THere's a wide variety of 3.5" SBC motherboards out there. Some can be powered with a single 50w molex connection.
