Networks Smoothwall Web Server??

    I saw on the information page of my smoothwall it says "Web Server: RUNNING" is this a web server that I can put files on and people can access them via a dyndns url?

    The short answer is no.

    THe web server module is the one wich doles out web access to your network IIRC. If you wish to run a web server you need to either add another machine to the DMZ (orange) network (Running Linux apache is usually best) and use that as your server, or you can run a web server on a machine in your green network, forwarding the ports to it, although this does leave holes in your firewall.

    My advice is grab a cheap old machine, hook it up to the DMZ (that's what it's there for!) and run an apache server on it.
