Sorted one, now a new problem.

It won't save my bios settings. When I save and exit, it doesnt reboot. Just sits there. To get it to boot again, I have to reset the bios !

If I leave it to boot without entering bios, it says cmos checksum error, and wants me to set CPY parameters.

Any ideas as to whats up with this one?

    Cheers

well, either the CMOS battery or your bios is knackered. Try replacing the battery with another one, and see if it will save. If not, update thine bios.

Changing the battery did nothing. The thing killed two FDDs and a DVDRW though, so it's going back.
