It's about time we in Denver get some snow but..... Blizzard warnings for today into tomorrow. No snow at 4AM. when I got up. That pic is 9AM. the red and yellow things are 1 foot rulers taped to the Terrarium. Waiting to see how much we get. It's just getting started. john
We kind of got caught off guard. Moving the spares to the tackroom: several Exo-Terra cubes, a couple chameleon tanks, and fish tanks from 30 to 125 gal. About 8 still on the deck. I'll take pics as the snow piles up. john
Noon update! Conditions are deteriorating now. Winds are picking up and white out conditions. Over 200 flights canceled at DIA. My snow guage: We seem to have lost the red 1 foot ruler. This looking straight south out of the wind. john
There was already a flash flood warning about for all of North Dakota (which is 15 miles south of me) and then they got 4 inches of rain and yesterday they got 8 inches of snow. That flood is coming sooner than expected. We got about 3 - 4 inches of snow where I am yesterday. We wont get flooded in our town but further east, the towns closer to the river will be. Supposedly the water will overflow the river by the weekend.
We are a disaster !! At 3PM. the governor of Colorado declared a disaster and started the National Guard to go out and help round up stranded motorists. Colorado is really not a flat place. Even what we call flat is still hilly to most people. We are still under the Blizzard warning until 6AM. tomorrow. Not even 1/2 done. Great fun to sit and watch out the window as the snow whips around. john
I love snow... Stupid friends with no ability or willingness to learn how to ski/board refusing to go on holiday...
Got an update photo yet, John? The skylights here are completely covered up. Good thing we're stocked with groceries too. Actually, if I had a boyfriend here with me, wouldn't care what was going on outside. ;P
Just got back in. 3rd trip outside to broom the snow off the DirectTV dish. Glad it's not mounted on the roof; Put a shrimp on the barbie! There is 24" on the side burner in the center of the pic. Almost got stuck myself! 26" at my knee in my Tony Llamas. john
Oh man, it makes me wish that we got that much snow in England even if it is dangerous - it would certainly be a lot more interesting than the grey skies we seem to get all year round.
My big black lab is in heaven, the miniature dachshund is cautious, and the Yorkie terrier won't go out more than a foot from the door. john
it must be moving south, we had snow like that here on sunday. They actually had to cancel a ski race because there was too much o_0
