lucky you weren't the sex panther.. you'd had a chick in the passenger seat

yeah been there when they take down a large bridge.. it's pretty amazing really- they build a wooden structure and cut it on both ends.. then lower the whole thing down in one piece

there was a guy there.. probably a mason far as I could tell (curly mustache) who supervised the whole thing.. you guys need more masons- they all came over here xD

Crazy business, seeing the state of your roads makes me feel bad for complaining of minor potholes.

Those images and the video you posted are disgusting, I cannot believe things are allowed to get in that state, does it really take 5 people dying to get them to fix the bridge? And even then only that bridge!

Glad you are ok, we can't do with any more down time of long term members.

HAHAHAHA.. i wish that was the reason.
The problem is exclusive to Quebec, and the worst point is Montreal. As soon as you take the 1h and half drive (avg) to get to the neighbor province, called Ontario (and I don't mean the capital city Ottawa.. I mean Ontario), you have super sleek smooth roads as soon as you pass the sign that says "Welcomes to Ontario".

So this is what it will feel:
    Noise in car: "Vrbbckckrkrkrkrkkrkkkrkrkckkv kkrvvkkvrkvrkvkkvrk"
You go "Hey look, Welcome to Ontario sign"
    Noise in car "..............................................".
    It's THAT drastic.

Ontario is one hair of having the same climate conditions of Quebec.

Quebec roads KILLS your car suspensions.

    The reason is simple:
    > Quebec needs to make it's public worker.. well work. Also, if they come to the Federal government and say "we spent less this year :D", their next year budget will be lowered... so they need to spend for the sake of spending.

    So what they do?
    • Follow a time or replacement system "the manufacture says that this water pipe will last 30 years. It now 29.5 years, and it broke, and our experts say that it's beyond repair. As 29.5 < 30, we don't replace.. we repair"
    • No organization. City needs to change a pipe.. ok fine.. instead of informing anyone who has wires inside.. they don't. So after they finish and close up, you have Gas company says "oh, yea we need to change our pipes", they do it, and close it up.. then Bell comes, to fix a DSL wire... but the repair person like to take his revenge and cut videotron cable... close up, leave... next week, Videotron (cable company), comes to repair the wire... and if nothing else happen (damage a pipe or wire): it's done. SO you have a broken patched up road everywhere... instead of a clean nice road.
    • Usage of ultra cheap chemcical base salt, with defrost too fast the snow/ice, which crack the roads
    • Usage of ultra cheap road materiel, ensures that the road needs repair every 2 years.
    • Usage of bad, time consuming road building techniques, leads to road to break non-stop.

You see that bridge on the video posted above... well why are they not fixing it... because it did not reach the manufacture year mentioned. The city don't consider that weather condition, road usage, PROPER MAINTENANCE and other factors changes this time of replacement estimate... which is JUST THAT.. ESTIMATE. Nothing more. And measuring techniques and testing to provide such estimate changed since the 40's...

    Is money the problem? No!
We are super taxes... Today, as we speak, fuel price is 126.9 cent (so about 1.27$) per litter. Why so expensive? Simple... taxes. Plus, half your pay check goes to taxes. Plus income taxes, which are high, and sales tax... a bit more than 14 glorious percent... why "a bit more" because it's 5% federal tax PLUS the provincial tax of 6% that is added AFTER the federal tax.

Is your state run by Indians? That sounds almost like a word-for-word description of how things go back home.

    First, I'm glad your ok.

    Second,

Is this the French in all of you, do you have the laid back attitude that France has. I mean with them working on average 35 hours a week lol.

    EDIT:

My source for this was from here.

But after reading that the UK's is only 37.5 i had to doubt the accuracy as i work 47 hours a week but then again i work in legal slave labour lol.

If airbag did not open you should not have to replace it. If it did you are totaled.

It did not open. I personally doubt the airbag is damaged (but what do I know, right?). The concrete hit the dash right next to the airbag and I think the plastic just bent under the impact, which made the cover pop. If only the cover/dash is broken I don't care since they will replace the full dash anyway
