With under 200 posts in 3 years I doubt I'll notice :/ I just use bit-tech for the forums really, tomshardware for actual tech and endgadget for my guilty apple pleasures I believe the mountain dew and doritos relates to the pretty annoying adverts that dennis often apply to their sites. (AdBlock Cheesecake).
+1 for not bothering with the actual site itself. I pretty much just lurk the forums and post on the odd occasion. That's about it.
You know there is a lot of truth of what you say. But and this is a huge but, I have gained friends and people of who I trust. If you want to get more reviews there are loads of sites out there but we still share our experiences here. If I need advice this is the place i come too and I still look forward to that postman delivering my magazine every month. I look at what I have learnt here over the last four years, it would cost a lot of money to learn that and experience it. I just have to look at my PC room to see what I have learnt and check my bank statements lol. So I will be one of the people who ain't going to mourn people leaving here and will still put up with these geeks on here oh and the old farts (Teel)
Originally I was a member of the late (and not missed) Nokitech. Back in the days, there wasn't a time when I posted something and some elitist ****** didn't corrected my sentenses and bitched me instead of answering the questions O.O Here, nobody correct my French and my english increase everytime I speak with you Gentlemen XD
I have recieved more help and genuine friendship on here than any other forum and despite the recent problems with this forum thats why Im staying. Without all the help and advice this pc would not have been built as my knowledge wasnt enough to enable me to build it, Forum members gave me the confidence in myself to allow me to complete my very first PC build for that I am eternally grateful thanks guys and gals.
So let me get this straight. I have been here over a year and posted more times than this guy who left. Sucks to be him. I can honestly say I worried that the money i spent on my rig was going to wasted. I bought a PS3 at top price years ago and it sat gathering dust for along time. My rig has only ever had a few days at a time turned off and unused. Bit Tech the place to learn new things, make friends and eat cheesecake.
Enjoy your time away - as said by some others, you'll be back, even if it's just to check things. Also, don't forget to take a towel
I kind of agree with what he said, though, about the content being.. Lacklustre in recent times. I've pretty much stopped visiting the front page too, in fact, it's only my "Daily" bookmarks that take me back to the front page any more. Ah well.
