So the 3rd was my birthday, I'm now 14 years old. I don't feel any different, is this normal?

    Was the internet serious business?

In any case - yeah. Birthdays stopped being the remotest bit exciting for me once I turned about 12. Just wait until you spend all day either working or sitting around with absolutely nothing to do because nobody is around. It's even MORE fun! Just another day tbh. I haven't had something remotely resembling a celebration in probably three years at least, and before that it was just going out to a decent dinner with a friend or two. Mind you I'm not the partying type, but yeah, it's just another day.

I like my birthdays, im currently 16, and on my birthday everyone at school is nicer to me, they buy me lunch so i save some $$$ i have two older brothers who buy me gifts, my younger sister makes a home-made card for me, my mom makes my favourite food for dinner, my dad comes home during his work break for cake, and i just enjoy spending the time with my family, plus my parents are totally awsome and get me good gifts :D High school + birthday = long day with the ladies :)

now i feel old... I was 14 12 years ago. and no you wont feel any different, its not like a rpg where you get to allocate points and then notice a difference. you age everyday, so the changes are small and generally unnoticed.

    Happy Birthday!

You never feel older, it's how things work. I'm looking forward to my 18th birthday, no more curfew, can vote, all that other good stuff. 16 is a great age because you can get a driver's license if you are in the states, 17 gets you into R rated movies which is nice. The only thing after 18 to look forward to is 21 for alcohol I guess.

    ^^ Older than you, biotch!

Why would you suddently notice a difference? the actual difference in age is only one day, you don't expect to magically become taller, or more mature do you?
Happy birthday all the same though.

there will be a time when your birthday will fell like any other day, in most cases you will be buried in a ton of sh... work, so that you can not think about your birthday.
most of the year i don't remember my age, i only remember i am an adult and that is enough, when they ask me my age i usually make the maths there.

    so, happy late birthday anyway.

I stopped celebrating birthdays a long time ago... Just wish the ageing would stop too...

And when you are like me, and are born on June 30th, the day we get our school results here in Belgium, then you slowly start to hate that day...

Happy Birthday! there you must feel better after being wished happy birthday by half of bit-tech, and tbh I think you are at that age when birthdays (and xmas of course) start to be less and less exciting, I normally just go and spend a load of money on myself and chill out with some friends, who spend the night trying to get me blind drunk, but (hopefully/legally) you've got about 4 years until that birthday stage kicks in!

Birthdays are great stuff, great family time, and your 18th will be your biggest Birthday I guess. :)
