sit down at my computer and start browsing the internet, when my nose picks up a peculiar smell. Electrical burn! I panic thinking a fire could burst into flames at any moment! I'm smelling around and get a whif of one of my computers exaust fans....it's coming from my computer but I don't know where. Think I'll shut it down and investigate :/
what do u think it could be? power supply? maybe a fan is soo clogged up with dust it's at a hault and the tiny engine is burning out? maybe my computer is melting or its about ready for a huge explosion? I hate computer problems
Dust can cause an odd burning smell if it heats up enough to burn, I would check your power supply and fans as those are the most likely places for dust to get in the way.
i would tear it apart, aircan spray that crap out, and reseed all your cards, replug all your plugs (checking everything for signs of heat/burn), and then even repaste your HSF
