I'm 26. I started work the weekend after I left school and worked until September last year.

"Hey Zinf, go to college, then uni! It'll be great, you wont have to work or anything and you can have all summer off!"

Well, I've had all summer off and I almost want to claw my own face off.

I'm so bored I've just ripped apart an 80mm fan and the wireless connector for a crap wireless mouse and tried to make a USB stylee fan.

I don't own a soldering iron. Needless to say I failed.

I then turned on the mouse, hey there's an LED in there! Well, it looks like an LED. Let's see if we can make it work!

What's a resistor? That diagram thingy looks the same as on the side of this tube thingy? Maybe that's it?

I don't have a soldering iron. So needless to say it failed.

I might not have had an LED or a resistor either so you know.

Please, please suggest things for me to do. It's a shameful thing coming to terms with just how boring a person you actually are. I need hobbies. I've a Maplin's near me, Scan... need...something...to...do.

This is true, alas I have nothing to solder now since I threw it all in the bin in a techically inept strop!

    build one of those.

Fairly "small" model (Looks like it should be between a foot and two feet tall, depending on stance, and how big the guy in the video is), but it's not a kit, so many time spent part hunting on BrickStore. It's only about 3k bricks.

So you're actually a university student now? I find it hard to accept that someone aged 26 could be bored. I'm younger than you and it seems that as time goes on I have more and more to do, not less. I haven't been bored since 2004.

So what are you studying at uni? Why don't you have a summer job? Is your life really that boring that you have nothing to do around the house? Come over to mine... I'll give you plenty of fun and interesting things to do. You can start by helping me finish the flooring in the workshop ;)

No, I finished college in June and will be studying Chemistry come 18th of September.

As of June I hadn't had more than 2 weeks off of work in 9 years and at this moment I've had three months off.

Nothing needs doing to my parents house as it's just been redecorated, funds are low as I've just paid my way through an unfunded year and want to save what's left for moving, every single detail of my move is done, packed or planned.

And trust me, I'd love to do the flooring in your workshop!

I went and had a coffee with a friend... again.

    12 days!

I just had a month off and would normally be bored as hell but thanks to my little trip at the hospital a few weeks ago, I have really enjoyed my last few weeks off. I didn't do anything, but damn it felt good

Back to uni tomorrow. This semester is going to be hardcore. I finish everyday at 9:30pm. Yum

    Here's what you do:

1 - Find a field full of sheep (no it isn't going where you think)
2 - Enter said field and paint the numbers 1 to 25 on 25 of the sheep.
3 - Make 25 home-made landmines and secrete them randomly about the field.
4 - Retreat to a safe distance with a few friends and enjoy an exciting game of BaaaBoomBingo!

Note: i'm not seriously suggesting this, it was just something that came about in a very drunk conversation. This conversation did lead us to coming up with a huge number of incredibly stupid ideas, some genius but mostly stupid. Such as...

    - Dress as a tomato, enter a pub and demand a pint of Lea and Perrins.
    - Erect a christmas tree in your town centre in the middle of the night and watch the reactions of people from the comfort of a nearby pub window/beer garden.
    - Go on a pub crawl with several friends and each dress as a super hero/villain but all MUST act as that character for the duration.
    - Terrorise freinds and family with the most annoying practical jokes you can think of (not nasty or dangerous or painful ones, just annoying ones) Such as: Take a screen shot of their desktop, set it as their desktop background and then deactivate desktop icons. The confusion is hilarious.
    - Have a game of Propernopoly. Same as monopoly but every player throws in a tenner at the start. You watch how no one ever misses a potential rent.

I can't remember most of them but we had one hell of a summer just doing utterly stupid and fun stuff. Might not be your kind of things but thought i'd mention them.
