What does HFW stand for? - Is it Horizon Forbidden West? - https://www.playstation.com/en-us/games/horizon-forbidden-west/
Yep. I've just got four more machines to override, one to ride and pretty much all the hunting ground stripes to earn and that's the main game done. Photo mode can produce quite stunning shots, here's some snaps I took on my travels:
Move over God of War, Vampire Survivors is back on the menu. SO. SATISFYING. CANNOT. STOP. Just.... just one more run...
Decided to give Vampire survivors a go. Downloaded and installed and thought "no way this game is any good"................................ 2 hours later trying to beat my last run ... Very addictive
That game is just a dopamine factory, it's brilliant. Wait until you start unlocking some of the more advanced characters and weapons, it gets utterly mental!
I unlocked one character - no spoilers - that makes some parts of the game a lot easier! Still haven't got all the unlocks, though, but I haven't played much of late - too busy.
Vampire Slayers update: No idea how many runs I have done in this addictive game. But I have only just discovered that those little "fire-pits" in the game actually hold coins / goodies
Picked up "Star Trek Prodigy Supernova" recently on Steam. It seems to work perfectly on Linux, except that the comic book style cut scene intro didn't play.
Going to give Vampire Slayers a purchase and play tonight. is controller much better than keyboard and mouse? Also is there some sort of leader board? would be interesting to track
I don't play many new games but I picked up Age of Empires Definitive Edition (remastered in 2021) for nostalgia. Graphics are much nicer now. Gameplay is ok, still gets boring pretty quickly.
Helldivers. Got it for a quid. Hilarious when everyone starts accidentally (and ineptly) adding to the chaos by bringing down urgently-required drop pods on each others' heads.
SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE More of the original, but with a few nice little extra touches that don't add unnecessary complexity to the gameplay (quite welcome, in fact) - Doom Eternal, take note. Only minor gripe so far is that it starts to get a little repetitive, but weirdly, that may be a design choice. However, I'm still having great fun.
