its none of them, think it came out every 3 months and was imported by comag. there some interesting titles that were previewed, one was a cyberpunk RPG that got covered a few times something like Liberatin II but with far better graphics i think it was called mindspace or mindcape or similar but it kinda vanished just before edge came out
Atari: Game Over I'm sure most people have seen this documentary, but I thought I'd post it just in case anyone missed it.
Still FFVII Rebirth. Got few more hours in now though: The minigames are stupid, and if Chode-ly interrupts what I'm doing one more time he's damn well gonna regret it. But despite all that I'm enjoying it, because as I said: I've no idea at what point in the original story this version will end; or even if it will actually follow the original story at all, because there's some... weird... stuff... going on... Cosmo Canyon got me right in the feels tho. Nope, some of the new combat mechanics are still a PITA. But I can largely ignore them unless I'm learning a new weapon skill or it's boss battle time. Most of the time it's a case of 'keep pressing square until it dies'. Surprisingly however, I am actually enjoying Queen's Blood, and I didn't think I would. It's one of the few card games I've come across in an FF game that I will go out of my way to play the bejesus out of. Seems to be some 'neat stuff' happening in relation to it, too.
I enjoyed the game. I play the OG once a year as the game means allot to me, i went into this worried but realised they can do what they want as we have the OG. But left this looking forward to part 3.. The mini games got stupid i mean it has soo many but then a dissapointing amount at golden saucer.. talk about missing the idea of golden saucer, i muted chanley, as on the ps5 controller he talks out thw speaker and my god it was annoying they have already made some changes and some locations just dony appear but it was fun it was strange going to locations that as a kid id dream about and have found memories of. 1st time seeing junon and the giant gun... Looking forward the 3rd part there is allot still to cover.. and if they dont give us a new knights of the round summon its a 0 out of 10.
I use a DualSense on the PC and this is configurable - you can set it to main speakers or controller, and you can drop the volume of the controller speaker. But I do have to use a wired connection in order to get full support for all the fancy stuff when connected to a PC. There’s no native widely-supported SDK like XInput, it’s left to each developer/publisher to support, and some features like the “HD” haptics only work over Bluetooth on the PS5.
Finally got time to finish off Cyberpunk. Finished 100%ing on my chosen ending Spoiler: Spoily Sent Song to the Moon and rode off into the distance with Panam No doubt start a third play through when the next patch drops. If they have FSR4 implemented I'll try it with some RT (or with optiscaler if not). I just can't bring myself to playing other than nomad. Perhaps I'll force myself down a different path just for the change. Who knows, may give a cyberpsycho run through.
I’ve done all three origins, Corpo, Nomad, and Street Kid. They’ve all got advantages in different situations/missions, but they don’t massively affect the broader story. Though playing Corpo is kinda fun when you get to bully & intimidate Corpo characters/NPCs . Nomad definitely feels like the most “correct” origin though. Spoiler No matter your chosen origin, you should try doing a playthrough with female V (female body type and female voice) and romancing Judy . IMO the voice acting for female V is much better than male V, and Judy is absolutely the sweetest, most adorable romance partner. Panam definitely feels like more of a ‘canonical’ ending, but I find her brash and irritating more often than not. A great friend who would (and does) walk into hell with you, but putting up with her crap every single day…? Bugger that! I always send Song to the moon as well Damnit… I haven’t even finished Rebirth yet, and I’m already getting tempted to do another CP2077 run
I have to agree re the female V. I've 100% trophied it now but there's still more things I've not seen and there's so many ways to play it. Spoiler Even little things like finding song's escape pod in Dogtown or the message she leaves in the alley where you meet her in her van before sending to the moon really just please me more than they should Who knows, I'll give it a few days and then see what patch 2.3 brings on the 26th. E: Re FFVII Remake and Rebirth. Are they worth a go? FFVII was the reason I bought a PS1 back in the day - haven't been sure whether to pick them up or not.
Imo yes worth playing, but go in remebering this is a remake ie more if they made it today... if this makes sense. Its true to some aspects, expands others and some is reimagine. The visuals are amazing imo. Getting to explore in a modern graphics setting. Just be warned rebirth likes its mini games... I enjoyed it, the combat isnt to every ones tast but i soon got into it.
And the rocket league style game still gives me nightmares. I didnt mind the queenblood game and the fact it has a story behind it was a nice touch. Juat googled 28 mini games.... 28!!!
If I were forced to pick only one game that I could play for the rest of my life, it would be the original Final Fantasy VII. It is quite possibly my favourite game of all time. So... if you are/were a fan of the original then I am, rather obviously, going to say that yes, you should most definitely pick them up But. Wait until they're on offer, because full price is silly money. And if you're really not in a hurry, give it a year or two until we're closer to "Part 3" being released: you won't have to wait quite as long for the final instalment. That's widely rumoured/believed to be 2027, but it hasn't been confirmed yet. It will definitely be a multi-platform title, like the last two have been, because Square Enix have already announced that it'll be coming to Switch 2. But I don't think there's been any indication so far that it will not be a timed exclusive for Playstation. The minigames and side-stuff are frustrating, yes, but the original game wasn't short of minigames and side quests either. It's still Final Fantasy VII with all its characters & personalities, updated with modern graphics and systems.
This is my default mode Good to know. I'll tag them to my long list for when offers pop up ta. Damn, just need a life NG+ to get through everything.
Given that I grew up in the Midlands during the 80s and 90s, a lot of th humour in this makes sense and I love it. Language options are cool too, with the options being English or "dialect" ie. Northern...
I still have to play this . Games have taken a back seat for a while though, been working on other stuff.
It is definitely in the casual bracket for gaming and ideal for a bit here and there. I finished it in about 3.5 hours total and I still have 4 or 5 hidden Steam achievements to get. I also found it pretty refreshing as your only commands are moving, jumping, and smacking, meaning that if you can't jump on it, smack it and see what happens and you'll bumble your way through most things almost by accident.
Sunk Cost Fallacy with Division 2 on PC. I had played the first one to death on both PS4 and PC and thought I could give the second a go as its "free" on GamePass. It looks and plays fine at 4K on my "Console" PC but its sooooooooooooooooo boring. Somehow it has managed to learn nothing from the first game and doubled down on the mundane monotonous mission structure and level design. Each mission plays out as go to the location, proceed until enemy waves are neutralised and carry on. Rinse repeat 2-3 times until you come against the "big bad" and mission complete. This somewhat worked in the first game as it was somewhat fresh (at least in terms of location, plot etc) but the second game is the first game but in a less interesting location (DC instead of NY), more cluttered and with more grindy crap. Even the Safe Houses are devoid of any life unlike the first game (there are now no vendors or civilians). I am still playing as I now am around 60% through the story and want to see it to the end.
I played it and enjoyed it, but never played the first one. I only played until the end of the story and dropped the game there. 3rd person just take me out of it very quickly. Right now I'm playing Cyberpunk 2077 and really enjoying it. A dystopian future where corporations run the world and governments are mere puppets... Oh wait. ****.
