What are you playing on the graphics seem fine, not amazing but no glitches, the parry and dodge are just a timing thing I don't get it right all the time, wonder if perhaps you have settings to high for your graphics and have a bit of extra lag, maybe knock it back and see if it is better. Personally finding it a little dull but I've only really just started and if my missus is right I'm defective, don't have an emotional bone in my body and don't pick up on stuff so there is that
Back playing Rift again, having not played it since Trion sold it to Gamigo. Will do for a while, whilst waiting for WoW's next expansion and, free to play when you already own it.
Ha! You do make me laugh. Maybe we're both hardened to life and these modern softies are too emotional! I was just about to stick The Ascent on for twenty minutes or so but saw your post come in so I did what you said and I just beat the arrogant b1tch! Oldest man in town, my ar$e. Have that. Here's the odd thing though - I'm on the Series X, BUT I did have graphics at "Quality". Only other setting that's on is chromatic aberration (which I'm still not really sure I even know what that is). But surely a console should be able to play correctly on a TV without lag? So either turning it down worked, or me just calming down a bit and watching more closely worked. I can't believe I can only have been mis-timing it by milliseconds.....surely? Either way though - cheers bud! Has made me feel somewhat less useless this evening. So it looks like you have to be quite spot on with the timings for the attacks and get to know the cues. What was catching me out was diving in too quickly by only a fraction, but then not being able to re-dodge because it was still finishing up the current one, so I got walloped by the incoming. Do you take some damage but just less so if you mistime it, or do you always get hit for 31 or whatever, regardless of whether you're 0.5ms late or 3s late? I haven't gone to look for more graphical jank yet, but it was when walking around and through crowds that it was obvious. It was a bit like playing a game from ten years or more ago, but with nicer textures. It seems the backgrounds and floor look better than the smeary cack from years ago, but then Halo had fkg AMAZING grass on the OG black Xbox. I used to just stop and look at it, then call the missus in to check it out. Anyway, I waffle. Cheers bud - might have something to get into now over the break!
A bit of a long shot are there any Current Final Fantasy 14 Players out there, Wows new expansion is next year but i need a little change i've got 10 level 80s and since i mainly solo the game as i dont care about raids ect i wanted to try 14 again.. I downloaded it and you need a Dam active sub to even download it thats just crazy
Still loving Space Marine 2. If I had to pick my favourite class, it'd be the Vanguard: The only level I've not completed on Absolute difficulty is "Vortex". The end boss is notoriously difficult.
Starcom: Unknown Space A cool little space exploration RPG. Installed it yesterday and didn't get to bed until 1.30 this morning.
Hardspace: Shipbreaker Popped up in one of Rock Paper Shotgun’s “Top n Games” lists they always do at the end of the year, rated quite highly in both reader polls and staff picks. I’d been meaning to get it for a while, so I check steam and… “In Library”. Huh… ok… It’s bloody good. Like… really addictive… Despite the sci-fi setting, at its core it’s very much in the mould of “ooh, that’s satisfying” games like Powerwash Simulator. The overbearing hyper-corporate abuse-of-workers-bordering-on-slavery backdrop and Newtonian-ish physics really makes it feel like The Expanse, but the music and characters make it feel like Firefly. Just finished Act 1 this morning and I’m loving it.
Started AC valhalla again i was lost on what i was doing to started over. Tempted to get kingdom come 2 as i enjoyed the 1st. At £30ish anyone played it
Me too. Just finished my first 4 hour session. It's...different. I'm having fun, but it is a very alternative playstyle to the two games before it. And nothing like the originals!
Cant say i've noticed the playstyle differing from the previous two modern ones other than definitely feels more melee focused, although quite glad they've gone back away from the wallrunning/double jumping stuff they added in the second...
...and over the break, I finally managed to complete Vortex on Absolute, and I've maxxed out all classes and weapons.
If that's Titanfall 1, yeah, you kind of need two teams for it to work. The last time I played a full server's worth of campaign was 2021 in a gap between the DDoS attacks, it was magical.
Finally making headway on Cyberpunk 2077. Just done the dog town quest involing the president. But im trying to do side quests to i had to reload a save as i didnt realise some quests are time sensative. No clue how im doing so far enjoying it ive started this game about 10 times but never got this far.
SPACE MARINE II!! But I've put it to one side for a minute because there were a lot more controls just for the chainsword since the first one and I am sooooo tired these days. I will strike back.
Finally making a start on Starfield now that I have a PC that will run it without dying. So far, not bad, still trying to get to grips with the shortcuts of getting about as well as putting bits of ships together, but everything else seems to be pretty good. Managing to run things on a decently high setting as should be expected at 1080p and that is looking good to me and my dodgy eyes.
