The last OS to support Hardware accelerated sound was Windows XP. Anything after that does not support it (which is why Creative and Asus struggled with drivers for years). I know there is a sound bug though where some sound cards do not like the compression method used by the game. Look it up and see if they made the same fix for Fallout : New Vegas. It means basically either downloading the entire game sound library as wave and putting an ESM in or downloading a tool that converts all of the sound files.
To The Moon I really enjoyed this, despite some clumsy writing in parts and the fact that it's barely a game. That said, the story was surprisingly moving and the soundtrack was superb. Only about three hours long, but for less than £2 it's a steal.
Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine Fancied playing something smashy, shooty and fun. This will be my third playthrough.
Age of Empires II: The African Kingdoms The campaign missions I've played so far are polished and fun, and with almost eyecandy-map-like environments. I'm very surprised after the horrible cringefest that was the campaigns of the Forgotten Empires (which was free, so I shouldn't really complain). It's so nice to play something new after completing all original campaigns multiple times over the years.
LIMBO anybody else pick this up when it was free on Steam ? I grabbed it, and have just started playing. It's a beautiful looking game and fun to play too. Very simple, just 5 buttons total, think I'm gonna enjoy this one.
Finally got around to installing KOTOR for another play through, trying a couple of mods as well to give it a slightly fresher coat of paint. Also reinstalled Dustforce DX, once again SGDQ has got me pretty hyped to play games!
These are the games that are current for me: PS4: Replaying "Beyond: Two Souls" and "The Last of Us". Xbox One: Newly started "Inside" and "Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter" Beyond: Two Souls is played with the wife and this is her first play-through.
Just started playing Doom yesterday - compared to what I was playing last (Fallout 4) it's bonkers fun Running and jumping around and shotgunning demons in the face is brilliant stress relief
Battlefield Hardline Was playing but had forgotten how crap this was/is. Styx: Master of Shadows. Tried rerally hard to like this, to no avail. So reinstalled Crysis 3 and Deadspace 3. Would like to play Crysis 1 again but even with the patch I cannot get it to play on Windows 7 64bit.
Looking through my Steam games library for games I purchased on impulse (during sales) I decided to give Metro 2033 Redux a try. I've only just started (about 1hr in, if that, including plenty of gawping) but so far so good. I hope there's a lot more shooty-shooty than tapping E when it tells you to though. I've never been a big fan of that. Suprisingly, it seems to run fine on "High" detail, SSAO off.
star ocean integrity and faithlessness, 1st ever star ocean game, im enjoying it so far. it hopefully will keep me busy till my new gfx card arrives
I noticed the creepy-creepy. When that bloke has a turn on the caravan ride and you see the chap with the long arms. That was creepy-creepy.
