No it's not. I bought a 8800GTX in 2005, and I haven't had to buy a new card yet. I've got a GTX 460 in my pc a the moment. It can be a pain if they send you a refurb card that was deemed aok and then ends up having to be sent back for another card but other than that their warranty is legit. To add to Salty, if you buy a card with KR at the end it's 3 year. ER cards have ten year. Says it on their website.
Nope. It's always been that way as far as I know. The reference cards I would've thought had a 3 year while their superclocked etc have the ten year warranty more recently however, I've noticed very few gpu's sold on amazon from EVGA are ER, while it's dead easy to chose an ER card to purchase from EVGA's on line store.(I never heard of their motherboards having a ten year warranty btw).
I am stoked for this! I have been using a dc2 570 for about 6 months now and love it. Probably the best bang for your buck card out there imo. After seeing the release of the 680 the only thoughts in my mind where if asus planned on making a dc2 model and if so, that's when i'm buying a 680. So I have been searching all over the net trying to find information on this. Now that I know this is the case, I say you guys need to hurry up!!! lol
