Hi, I am looking for a new motherboard for my htpc/server. I am using my q6600 cpu and i have a geforce 8800gt. Whilst looking for a new motherboard i saw some with onboard intel gma x4500. The rig only needs to play video at 1080p and no gaming. To save power as this rig is on 24/7, i have thought about using just on board graphics and not the 8800. From what i have read the you need the x4500hd version for 1080p playback but with my processor not being too bad coukd i get away with the x4500 version( x4500hd is expensive)? Does anyone have experience on this and know if playback will be ok? Thanks!
