I recently got a Thermaltake Volcano 11 Xaser Edition without the 5 1/4 Bay bracket. Ive been quite pleased with it tbh, and I can only assume that yours had been rolling around the back of a van with the faults it had :eeek:. Mine had no such problems on arrival.

My Temps are as shown below (idle with a few programs running) it rises to about 44ish under load. The speed is set a little over half way-ish.

It was a tight squeeze to fit it on my Asus A7A133, some of the surrounding caps ended up being tilted over a little.

Also dabs.com (where I bought it from) has it for £12.34 exc vat here

Yep I'm sure I was just unlucky...

£15 is pretty damn cheap, I'll update the link in the review - cheers :)

As for the temps, they're pretty similar to mine really when you take into account the 28 deg. C ambient, stupid summer.

Thats why I had to change my HSF, my old one wasnt cutting the mustard with the heat we had a couple of weeks back.

Nice review, but how does the Zalman compare with very serious overclocking heatsinks? With the recent heat, I can't compare temperatures with, say, a Volcano 9 or a SLK-900 with a Delta. Can you shed any light on just how good it is for AMD overclockers? ;)

I don't see why the volcano 9 should be any more a performance sink than the volcano 11 - the 11 has a high speed fan
