Windows Software for Burning DVDs with CD burner

    does anyone know where to download the software to let you burn dvds vcds and svcds from a cd burner?

    WTF?

    You can't burn DVD's with a CD writer.
    SVCD/VCD you can create and burn with Nero though, amongst many others, try google, or http://www.videohelp.com/

    Er try google.com for free software.

    I personally use nero 6, but you'll have to pay for this.

    edit: didn't read it, you can only burn CDs with a cd burner :duh:

    no, he burned a vcd and a svcd and a dvd on a 700 mb disc through a cd burner

    No, he didn't. You can't write data to a DVD disk with a CD-RW. Completely different formatting...:eyebrow:

    VCD and SVCD, yes. Hence the "CD" in the end of the name. DVD? No...

    As said before, DVD disks wont even read in a CD-RW drive, yet alone burn them. I recommend Nero 6 for burning your VCDs to a CD.

    Sounds like the DVD was ripped to hard drive, then compressed and burnt to a 700 MB CD?
