I was wondering if anyone knows of a soft-ware KVM because I'm too lazy to buy a hard-ware KVM, plus to get a KVM that would work (more than 4 PC, with AT PS/2 and serial connections) would be pretty expensive...

I know Synergy can act as a soft-ware keyboard and mouse switch, but that doesn't take care of the video side of things... I only have 1 monitor(well 1.5 if you count an old 15" PB that can only run 640x800 OR 1024x768 if you let it cut off the top and bottom of the picture....).

closest thing I can think of would be a remote connection software like dameware, vnc, or the dreaded netmeeting.

    RealVNC
    RAdmin

I have used both of them and both work well.

RealVNC has lower CPU usage on the server side. But RAdmin is a little more responsive. RAdmin on the client side can also store the IP addresses of the different machines whereas with RealVNC you will have to either make a shortcut with the IP address as a switch or enter it manually each time.
