    Hey!

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any software that can stop programs accessing the internet. I know I can do it with a personal firewall but it seems pointless when I have a hardware firewall that does the protection job and excess system resources would be used up.

I have played with Windows Firewall but I don't really like it. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated!

ZoneAlarm does exactly this, and does it very well.

It's a firewall, but way better than XP's firewall, and it does stuff - like block programs - that your hardware firewall can't do.

When I ran 98 & XP I always had Zonealarm and usually had a hardware router too - layered protection....

Seconded, it does enjoy about 15mb of your RAM though.
