Not to be in Blackpool? I've been there twice. The first time I was excited, the second time, I was not.

ha ha, owning a TVR in America would be like a dwarf turning up to a Giant convention. The cars... sorry... S.U.Vs in the US are huge, its quite ridiculous really because everyone has one - just to pop down the shopping mall in one!

Also, in the US you think 100MPH is really REALLY fast, so the TVR would absolutely scare the shite out of you.

But on the plus side single figures for MPG would suit the US quite well. When I was last over their I saw an advert for some car/SUV & it said that it can a 'staggering' 35MPG... I laughed my arse off!!

    My Fabia VRS does 145Mph, 0 to 60 in 7.4sec & averages 54MPG! & is a Diesel :D
But I would swap if for a TVR (A Tuscan though)

Gotto say though, the Americans know how to build roads - the minor roads around Orlando FL are as big as our M25. Our road system is a joke compared to most other countries.

Yep, I can't understand that either, but then again no european really can. I think the weirdest thing is how spread out everything is.

Yes, also noticed this, but then again it seems the highway patrols are really strict at enforcing the speed limits, our motorway limits are a joke, everyone seems to zoom around at between 80mph and 120mph (and then you have that 530d pegging it down at about 140 and it still doesn't get nicked!)

And thats always the smallest and most under powered one that no one buys.

Does it manage to get 54 when your caining it?!

Who wouldn't?! They sound so mean. I live in Caterham, where they build the Caterham 7's, mmmmm sounds so nice.

That's partially down to the fact that England is massively over populated.

p.s. sorry for loads of quoting, last day at work and I'm clock watching.

My dad looked at bringing his back over with him when he moved back to the states from the UK, apparently it was doable so long as he bought another identical one and gave it up for "testing" (IE pranging), and then in all likelyhood perform modifications based on the findings.

    yah, right

on the plus side you can pick up this particular TVR up for around £6-10k depending on condition/mileage/year
The newer ones (Like the Sagaris, which is easily one of the scariest cars on the planet, in a good way) go for up to £50k. Or if that isn't exotic enough for you, there are 5 (iirc) Speed12s on the planet, one of which was sold last year on aby of all places for around £155k. ~1000bhp in a car weighing ~1000Kg, recipie for disaster.

Actually the lowest I got it too was about 40MPG when doing 125MPH on the A44 german autobahn when I went over to Kassel to see a friend. If I cruise on a motorway at around 60MPH it does 60MPG. The performance & the fuel economy is just awesome.

What you need, is an Ariel Atom.
To me, a TVR is the under rated old english sports car, as it would lag behind Aston Martin, Don't get me wrong, both are stunning cars, but i think i would sway over to the Martin over the TVR.
But still, enjoy her (most cars are 'her' i find)

Have you driven on the M5 & M6 around the West Midlands in the mornings or afternoons - You'll be lucky to do 40MPH let alone 60MPH.

Like I said before - Our road system is a joke. It is designed, maintained & fixed by idiots that don't use them in that area so don't care if a 5 mile trip takes 30 minutes.
