Hey there, I was wondering if anyone had some insight on some good durable, comfortable, and non sound dampening headphones. I own two pairs of headphones, one of which broke (Creative Sound Blaster Arena), and despite it getting a good review on many websites, bit-tech included, I found that it broke easily, was uncomfortable after long periods of time, and sounded only slightly above average. Ideally, I want something which is lightweight, comfortable, with good sound quality and allows me to hear my surroundings while wearing the headset. Thanks in advance.
Corsair HS1A. Just got one for £30 from Scan and I love it Very comfortable with a respectable sound quality, although not tried it in a shooter situation yet.
You can't beat the JVC RX700 for sound quality in that price range. http://www.amazon.co.uk/JVC-HA-RX70...7S44/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323991974&sr=8-1 and they can be easily modded to make the sound stage bigger. http://www.head-fi.org/t/435809/jvc-ha-rx700-mods
