Hi all, At school we use this program for accounting. And you need the cd to start the program. Now my brother typed in something in the terminal wich created a iso from the cd rom. Whenever I need the cd-rom I just click the ISO and it gets 'mounted'. Why am I doing this? Well the cd drive on my powerbook uses alot of power. So I use the ISO. I do own my cd-rom. What is the command to create a iso from the cd-rom. The reason that I'm asking is that a friend of mine who is visiting right now has a similar cd-rom for school, but they only have 1-cd-rom and they have to pass it true the class each time they start the program. So this would make it easier for him. Thanks very much L Answer http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20031225124417353

I use disk utility, menu, Images --> New --> Image from (Select Drive) It outputs a .dmg, most of the programs i've try'd that require the disk present to run have worked fine with the dmg mounted
Hi thanks if you want to mount it like a real cd rom then you have to lock the iso and then mount it using toast L
