Hi, as the title states, I am unable to get smooth playback of any 1080p videos.

I have read the sticky guide, however I appear to have hit a wall and am missing something, I just cant work out what

The sticky advises users to download 'Media Player Classic - Home Cinema' of which I have version 1.1.604.

Then advises to set the render output to EVR which ive done.

I have checked to see that there are no preferred H264 filters set.

After doing this, the guide shows to open up a 1080p .mkv file and select "MCP Video Decoder"
However mine does not show this.

Where have I gone wrong? Have I missed a step somewhere?!!
    Thanks for any help.

this is exactly the question i asked at the end of the sticky guide, as i have run into the same problems. first time i went through this, there were filters in the list which you could set to be preferred or not, whereas neither mine or yours have those filters in there now. still unresolved here too.

add coreAVC as an external filter, and then click "prefer" and apply.
