    Hello,

I am trying to write some technical docs, and word keeps changing -- to a long -

Does anyone know how to make it not do that? As I am writing a manual that has a lot of -- strings in it, and it's making life hell.

I haven't really explained myself well, basically I want a double hyphen (if thats what it's called) but words keeps reformatting it to a long (in size) hyphen.

Get to the AutoCorrect settings (don't ask me how), and uncheck that "Hyphens (--) with dash (-)" box?

EDIT: Get to AutoCorrect option through:
Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options...
