Windows Some websites (ebay.com) not loading

    I NEED HELP :waah:

    my IE (Firefox) will load certain web pages such as Google but it will not load other ones such as ebay. all it comes up with is "waiting for www.ebay.com" then just does nothing :wallbash:

    so PLEASE help


    P.S luckly it loads Bit-Tech :clap:

    It could be a firewall that's blocking ebay?

    Do you have one running? It may be wirth checking the settings.

    Clear your cache, then check again...if nothing, your ISP may be having a problem.....

    mine does almost the same.. with msn messenger.. i cant open my emails from the link in msn. It just does as 220689JC pc does. But if i go onto hotmail directly it works :S weird!

    If you are in the uk and you use a router, it looks as though you have the encapsulation setting set to poppe (or whatever is is) where it should be set to PoPPa. I had that problem once. Hope that helps.

    the encapusaltion setting is set to

    PPPOA (PPP over ATM)

    or i can have

    PPPOE (PPP over ethernet)

    Are you using bittorent when this happens? Does a restart fix it? What webpages wont load (other than ebay) and what webpages will load?

    If google is the only page that loads, its probly because its just in your browsers cache.

    If your downloading several things in bittorrent when this happens, this is a common problem as bitorrent is using too many connections.

    If you are still having this problem, it is likely that your DNS server ain't working properly or something, that is the most common cause of some webpages not loading. Try changing it if you can or refreshing it.

    well im not using bit torrent and i tried restarting my router but that didnt fix it.
    it will load candystand.com , bit-tech and many others but it will not load things
    like ebay.com and hp.com and msn.com , hotmail.com.


    how would i go about changing or refeshing my DNS server
