He's now building a Westfield in his usual strange kinda humour style, anyway the quezzie is does anyone have any idea if they'll come out on DVD?

Yep - watched them all! (Sad bloke Alert!)

I think they're out on VHS. Try the H&L website.

The helicopter one was good, but I don't think he ever got to fly it - The last episode you only saw the CAA inspector at the controls....

yeah I only caught the last episode of the helicopter one? did he get the chance to learn to fly one as with the Aeroplane series? Don't you have to fly a certain amount of years in a plane before getting to pilot a chopper?

No he didn't learn to fly it really, they just had the test pilot from the factory show you what the controls did each week and basic piloting stuff. Mark (the presenter) just went along for the ride with and to operate the camera.

As for having to fly a plane before a chopper - no you don't. One of the guys at work has just got his rotary wing PPL, and he's never flown a plane before.

oooh thats interesting, I'd love to fly a chopper but I don't really want to fly normal light aircraft... i'll just go save £10k now...

I love choppers the last time I was in one was in 1998 when we flew over Manhattan, around the statue of liberty, past Brooklyb bridge etc and down central park and landed on the roof of our penthouse suite.

Ok, the penthouse suite is a lie, but we did a $200 each tour (3 of us, our parents had done it before as part of a trip there and insited that we do it and that it was well worht the money, which was true and I'm glad we went cos we got amazing views. Unfortunately after 9/11 Liberty Helicopters no longer fly over manhattan, just down the rivers. one of the lads from work went on them and also said it was amazing but now only costs $150 cos of the reduced tour.)
