I haven't got any other DDR2 and sadly no one else I know has either, we are all on skt 939.

I didn't manually reset bios so I do not understand how it has been reset?

I took a piccy of the screen with my phone (K800i so the qual shouldn't be too bad, i'll copy it and host it so you can see the screen)

EDIT:post screen pic - give it a min, once it has loaded it will scale ) (it does in firefox at least)

i always like these threads, cause all i do really is guess...so its cool to see if i know anything. sounds like a mobo prob to me. checksum error could mean possibly the mobo battery is bad, because something about the values the bios or cmos or w/e stored didnt match the new values at boot. or maybe even the ps is bad. make sure mobo battery is good. did the one stick of ram work in just the first slot or all slots?

Good call, let me try that :thumb:

EDIT UPDATE: I tried the ram in all the slots, when I put it in the second slot the error occurs. (thats with one dimm) with two dimms it doesnt matter where the ram is it will not post and when it posts with one dimm then i see the checksum error. Cant test the battery unfortuneately.

Bad motherboard. When different slots start doing different things with the same stick of memory, it's the motherboard's problem. (usually, anyway.)

Just a quick one to update, I got hold of OCUK and sent it back for RMA, they recieved it this morning, I'll let you know how it goes but so far it seems pretty painless.

What problems have people experienced with OCUK with regard to RMA?

Some people say it's awful, but I'm sure we only get people complaining about the bad things.
If you gave them a decent description of the problem, I'm sure they'll sort it. :)
