I'm looking at getting a Mechanical Keyboard and a new mouse but I'm really unsure which to get and would like to test some out. I currently use a Roccat Kova and a Razer Arctosa but I'm interested in the Corsair k60/k90 keyboard and any ambidextrous mice I can find as I'm left handed. I'm very picky when it comes to shape of the mouse and feel of the keyboard whilst typing and gaming so I'd like to have a feel for them before I buy them or have the possibility to send the items back if they're not to my liking. Does anybody know of places to order from to be able to send them back or somewhere to travel to, to be able to test some out. I'm very careful when it comes to these items so sending them back in condition would be easy. I've had my keyboard/mouse for 4 years and both still work perfectly and look in top condition, I have both the boxes and all original packaging for them still. Many thanks!
My house Other than that, PC World etc have them on display. How do you find the Kova? I have a Kone (+) but want something identical but smaller.
Somewhere like PCworld will have the more 'gamer' style keyboards. Same with mice, apart from that, ask around, might be worth buying some mice second hand, trying them, selling them on if you don't like/even if you do and then buy a new one maybe.
I went into pc world the other day for the sole purpose of seeing if they had any on display and that particular store didn't (Bristol).
Nah I didn't have the time really, I wasn't at the shops to look in pc world and had just driven 2.5 hours home from Plymouth, I scoured the whole section and couldn't see any mechanicals.
I never thought about PC World. There's one just down the road so I'll have to pop in and see. If not, does anybody know of any websites to order from that have a short period of time you can send something back if it's not to your standards/tastes?
Where is it that you can get that numpad with all the different key switches? or was that a group buy on geekhack?
if pc world havent got what you want on display, goto currys. there the same company but have different things on display, if they dont have it just ask. once you have tried search for the best price you can
There are these switchtry you can sign up for if all fails locally, but you might have to wait for some time before it got to you.
Be aware that the K60 has rubber dome caps for the top row and the cluster above the arrow keys, here is my review: http://www.key-bored.net/corsair-k60/
Where are you based? A few of us mechanical people may let you try one of our boards if you're nearby.
